PgC Clin Biomech BSc (Hons) MCPod
Senior Podiatrist
My interest in being a podiatrist was sparked by my older sister who had trained. I was keen to care and look after people in some way and decided it was a good profession. I went to train at Salford's Northern College of Chiropody qualifying in 1979. I studied further gaining a BSc ( Hons) in podiatric research at Southampton University and a post graduate certificate in clinical biomechanics from Staffordshire University.
Initially I worked in the NHS for several years and decided to set up my private practice, which has now been running for 38 years and I still love what I do.
As well as having the day to day responsibility of running the practice along with my husband Chris (very confusing) I split my clinical work between Tarleton and Churchtown practices over 3 1/2 days weekly.
I am a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, an affiliate member of the Liverpool Medical Institute and my HCPC number is CH07352.
When Im not working I enjoy walking, theatre, singing and gardening and catching up with my children and grandchildren.
